STOP the insanity

Seriously what in the hell is going on in the world?!?!?! A few days back I went in to the REI and noticed something absolutely insane. This is what I saw: Liberty Mountain Ultralight Sport Razor. Are you kidding me? Is this really necessary? I know the fad toward lighter is well under way but do you really need a razor in the backcountry? OK I see that world travelers may feel the need to shave however are weight savings on a razor that necessary? Absolutely not. The trend for ultralight is part of the constantly carrying your world on your back crew, but when you will be in a place where you feel the need to be clean shaved you are more than likely at a place that you could buy a razor or where the weight is not that big of an issue. I am just blown away by the products that are produced to fill a niche that is created by the producers of the product not by the need or the activity. To those of you that buy these worthless pieces please feel free to tell me why you were so inclined or what you felt the need to shave while traveling the world. Until then I leave you to go out and eagerly purchase worthless crap!
