BPA ban proposed!!!

  • We have all heard of the controversy surrounding our beloved Nalgene bottles and the nastiness that is BPA. (linked to cancer) Well Congressman Edward Markey has proposed a ban on BPA and products made with it. Check out the press release.

Looks like the powers that be have opened their eyes to some of the issues that we as outdoors folks have been thinking about. Is it an election year?

Do we need a ban? We the informed, have already started fazing out our BPA water bottles and the companies that we turn to for our product have since stopped using BPA plastic. BPA has been linked to reproductive issues and cancer. At this point isn’t the government just protecting a bloodline of humans who aren’t reactive enough to protect themselves?

BPA is still used in a lot of stuff - I think it’s an issue of big business vs. consumer safety. We’ve gotta educate ourselves!

      Here’s more information on BPA.
