GMF to Pike’s Peak to Manitou
Got back yesterday, check out the route. I will post up details and some pics later today. Route ended up at about 24 miles (best guess) and today I am working on getting the legs to loosen up. I can now officially say that UTM is a hiking machine!

Damn straight.
Actually, that was my 4th ascent of Pikes Peak and the best so far. The Barr Trail is mind-numbing to me so it was refreshing to have a different route up the mountain. We couldn’t have asked for better weather either. I know being pelted in the backs of our ears with hail left something to be desired, but the dense fog that came with it make the alpine hiking somewhat other-worldly.
