Dinosaurs and Beer together

Insane yet true.

Imagine if you were a scientist and you happened to come across a piece of amber (fossilized tree sap) and upon checking it out in further detail you discover it has 45 million year old yeast cells trapped in a freaking prehistoric bee. Well I am sure you would do what any other self respecting beer drinker would do, reactivate the yeast and brew some freaking beer!!

Well folks that is exactly what scientists, Raul Cano and Lewis Lambert did! After discovering the viability of their 45 million year old yeast they paired with brew master Peter Hackett and founded Fossil Fuels Brewery. This northern California brewery released its Fossil Fuels Wheat which was brewed under contract by none other than Kelley Brothers Brewing Company.

With names like T-Rex Lager, Stegosaurus Stout, Jurassic Amber Ale, and Ancient Ale this beer is sure to capture the imaginations of grown up kids all over the country. As of yet there are no release dates for the beer to be bottled and shipped out to other states, so if you cannot wait or have jurassic fever make the drive and see what all of the fuss is about.
