BPA Free Water Bottles
As time passes companies have started to shift into high gear finding and producing new water bottles that are BPA free. You have no doubt been faced with the question of which bottle has BPA which does not and how do I know?
BPA is used only in plastics so the obvious alternative would be a metal bottle such as the bottles offered by SIGG ($25) and Klean Kanteen ($15), Guyot Designs ($25).

If you really like the plastic bottles then these are some BPA free alternatives: Katadyn Micro Filter Water Bottle ($40, but also has a carbon filter to purify your water!), Amphipod Hydraform Bottle (<$10, but very soft so not the best in a pack), Hydrapak ($15, made of polyethylene and has a spot on the base for energy gels), CamelBak Better Bottle ($9), Nalgene ($6, opaque bottle).

You should also be aware that both Camelbak and Nalgene are now utilizing Tritan co-polyester to continue to produce the clear hardened plastic bottles that previously contained BPA.

Most of these bottles can be purchased in a variety of sizes just as the old BPA contaminated bottles were.

Another option is to use old Gatorade/Powerade bottles although not as durable they are pretty cheap, just steer clear of the ones with either a #3 or #7 on the bottom! #3 is PVC - polyvinyl chloride, while it does not contain BPA it also contains bad chemicals. The #7 is generic in the plastic producing world which means it could contain any number of plastics, including polycarbonate plastic.
