Up a Mountain / Down a Beer

Climbing All Year With A Finger Board

With the leaves all but gone and the temperatures dropping rapidly it becomes more difficult to get out side and keep in shape. Some will tough it out, others will default to the gyms while others will simply hibernate and grow fat and lazy.

I have tried to fight the battle of the winter hibernation for years and one of the greatest discoveries I have made was to install my Metolius Simulator CNC Training Board in my house. I have always mounted it in the garage or root cellar and was a bit reluctant to make the cold dash through the snow to train.

Well I finally got off of my ass and mounted it inside (with my wife’s blessing of course).

Basically I followed the directions found on Metolius’ site. But instead of the plain old background I used my jigsaw and cut out a mountain scene and got Juice Box’s wife to paint it for me. This is also a great diversion during the long winter nights and a great way to have an excuse to drink. Think about it do one pull up then drink one ounce of beer, now that is a century!!!

Looks cool, but I prefer to grow fat and lazy!
