Field Texting
from Yeti: “at 11000 ft looking down on turquoise lake after good beers at eddyline. you would totally be digging the vibe!”
from UTM: “I’m in Kansas City so….piss off.”
The Yeti and his clan have traveled to Vail to attend the Teva Mountain Games, which happen to be kicking off in about 25 minutes according to their website. Meanwhile, I have returned from KC to a very hazy Denver and am now receiving requests from Yeti to “get on the website and post something…. ANYTHING!”
Here is a quick preview of some of the upcoming posts and reviews:
- Rundown of the Teva Mountain Games from our, uh, field correspondant Yeti. (Yep, I linked ‘em twice.)
- A gear review of Western Mountaineering sleeping bags; made in the USA, 850 fill power down products that are said by some to be the finest bags on the market. Read what we have to say about them.
- A review of Garmin’s Oregon 400t GPS; simple, compact, touch-screen GPS that is taking the backpacking electronics market by storm.
- Photos of me using Yeti’s toothbrush to clean under my toenails.
Why don’t you get all of this cool stuff right now? Because it’s 25 minutes till happy hour, and I still need to pack a bag for a weekend of product testing and Yeti hunting!
See you at TMG? Hope so!
Cheers!
