Breckenridge Colorado Legalizes Pot

Well folks this has been a long time coming. We all know that outdoors folks tend to be on the fringe, and those damn rebels drinking beer during endurance events and promoting a lax attitude towards life in general. And it appears that the towns they covet are welcoming them with open arms, and pot. Here is a short clip of what you can expect to see in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Breckenridge, Colorado has legalized pot. Out of the dark alleys and onto main street, marijuana (in small quantities) is now legal. I have no doubt that one day the U.S. as a whole will embrace pot and tax the begeezus out of it, which I think they should. But I am wondering about the safety of stoners behind the wheel, ice-packed roads especially in towns where walking is so popular makes me wonder if we are really inviting more traffic fatalities. Droopy eyed pot smokers driving around slowly is still dangerous and I hope we don’t lose folks to diminished reaction times and lack of foresight, then again for a stoner to find the motivation to get off the couch and behind the wheel might be a far stretch and we may be safer. So go to Breck, get stoned and eat your cheetoes while watching your soap operas this could mean less folks in the outdoors. Wait a minute should I buy up junk food stocks now? Or should I open a business where I pedal ho-hos and slushies to all of these folks? Hmmm…
