Moment Of Silence

Today Colorado lost it’s first resident of the season at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. 14 year old Haley Rose Gans, a Colorado Springs native was reportedly skiing a bit fast when she hit a tree on the Spruce trail, a medium or blue trail.
Although she was wearing a helmet she succumbed to her chest injuries after hitting a tree according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson. Breckenridge officially opened November 12th however the mix of warm days followed by cold days has caused much of the terrain to glaze over thus lending it self to accelerated speeds.

Please folks be careful out there and take all necessary precautions, NEVER ski out of control and ALWAYS wear necessary protective equipment.
